Description of Kyllinga, False Green (Kyllinga gracillima):
False-green kyllinga is a perennial sedge that is prevalent in warm-season turf but has also become an issue in cool-season turfgrass. It is almost identical to green kyllinga, but green kyllinga is only found in the southern United States. It forms a mat of grass and is light green in color, making it obvious in an otherwise dark green patch of turf.
