Description of Rescuegrass (Bromus catharticus):
An annual weed that has thin, flat leaves with closed leaf sheaths and rounded hairs on the back. It thrives in southern states during the winter and disappears in hot weather. Often found in lawns, waste areas, roadsides, open fields, golf courses.
