Description of Locust, Black (Robinia pseudoacacia):
The Black locust tree has such a particularly strong and woody vine, it is often used to tie timers and fences. They have a very aggressive and shallow root system that can spread to up to a 100 feet away, making it a major annoyance in your yard. They have sweetly fragrant and cream-colored flowers. It's considered a noxious and invasive weed due to the fact that it will take over other vegetation if not managed properly.
