Description of Halogeton (Halogeton glomeratus):
Halogeton grows rather small at a range of 3 to 12 inches in height. Red stems when young, but eventually turn yellow when mature. It spreads along with the soil at first, then grows upwards. The leaves are tubular. It's common in dry deserts, barren areas, roadsides, overgrazed prairies, and disturbed areas void of native vegetation.
