Description of Aster, White Prairie (Symphyotrichum falcatum):
Usually colored white, white prairie aster are usually colored white with between 15 and 35 ray florets. They have narrow, light green leaves that are spine-tipped (usually), with a sparse covering of hairs. The stems can reach up to 3 feet high and the bottom 1/3 can have a bush-like appearance. By the time the white prairie aster flowers, the stems usually turn brown.
