Description of Flies (Diptera):
Flies can destroy a lawn through feeding on it and be a nuisance to your outdoor activities, making being out in the yard miserable. Insecticides will target the nervous system of the fly and kill on contact, but the spray must be touching the insect for it to be effective. Other natural options include nematodes, a bacteria called Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, or simply attracting more birds to your property so they eat them.
