Description of Bark Beetles (Scolytinae spp.):
Bark beetles mostly attach conifer trees, like pines, however some feed on broadleaf trees. The adults are small, hard-bodied, and cylindrical. Size-wise, they can be compared to a grain of rice. Coloring ranges between brown, black, and dark-red. The head is almost completely hidden by the body if looking from above.

Instructions:
To control Boxelder Bugs, Elm Leaf Beetles, Gypsy Moth Caterpillars, apply Demon Max as a 0.1% emulsion. Spray tree trunks, building siding or wherever pests congregate, thoroughly, but not to the point of run-off.
Borers and Bark Beetles: To prevent infestation of trees and woody ornamentals, spray the bark, thoroughly, but not to the point of run-off using a 0.1% Demon Max emulsion.

Instructions:
Use the higher rate for fast knockdown and increased residual control. Dense or excessive (greater than 3 inches) lawn height and arid conditions may require higher volume application rates. Repeat application if necessary. Application in combination with compatible surfactants or wetting agents may enhance penetration.
