Description of Cool Weather Brown Patch ():
Cool weather brown patch is brown patch that affects cool season turf-types consisting of bluegrass, tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, and bentgrass. This fungus especially likes tall fescue, as it's a common problem in dense and over-fertilized turf.
The symptoms include small circular patches of brown and dead grass, like the name suggests. The fungus that creates this result thrives in moist turfgrass and daytime temperatures of 75 to 85 degrees F and nighttime temperatures below 68 degrees F.
