Switchgrass Weed Killer

Panicum virgatum Herbicide

Description of Switchgrass (panicum virgatum):
Switchgrass is a perennial warm-season bunchgrass that is common in the United States. It can grow between 3 and 6 feet tall and is a pale-yellow color in fall. It spreads by seed and rhizomes. The best way to identify switchgrass is to look at the ligule, aka the area where the stem meets the leaf blade. At that meeting point, there is a fringe of short hairs that meet with a dense patch of hair extending onto the upper leaf surface. See pictures for more information.
