Description of Miner Lettuce (claytonia perfoliata):
Miner lettuce is a slightly succulent annual weed. It has a light green color, and round, oval-disc shaped leaves. The white to pale-pink flowers have 5 petals and bloom from between February and May. The cup-like structure below the flower is called a bract and looks somewhat like a leaf itself.
