Description of Hawkweed, Yellow (Hieracium caespitosum):
Yellow hawkweed is a member of the hawkweed family, and also has yellow dandelion-like heads, albeit producing a lot more flowers and growing taller on generally leafless stems. It spreads by the triad of methods: seed, rhizomes, and stolons, making it very difficult to control in pastures and lawns once introduced.
