Description of Dogbane, Hemp (Apocynum cannabinum):
Hemp dogbane is a perennial and woody weed that is often found id croplands.  It grows 3 to 6.5 feet in height and the reddish stems produce a milky sap when cut. The leaves grow on opposite sides of the stem and they will bear small white or light green flowers.
