Description of Celandine, Lesser (Ficaria verna):
Lesser celandine is a sprawling yellow wildflower which can grow up to 12 inches in diameter and 12 inches tall.  The leaves are smooth, wide, and kidney-shaped with wavy edges. The flower itself is approximately 4/5 to 2-2/5" wide. It is a perennial and its emergence is increased by the light of early spring.
